Sarah and Andy opted for a classy navy and pink wedding theme, with touches of beautiful bunting and birdcages.
Sarah and Andy met back in 2011 online, “I think the reason we get on so well is because we are both down to earth and appreciate the simple things in life,” says Sarah. Andy finally popped the question two years later when the couple took a sunny walk on Prinstead Beach in Emsworth.
The bride found her stunning Maggie Sottero gown from Proposals in Chichester. The boutique had a beautiful selection of the type of dress Sarah was after – A-line, covered in lace with a boat neckline then she finally found ‘the one’ after trying on just ten. She accessorised with a Rainbow Club ivory lace clutch bag and shoes also from Rainbow Club topped off with a handmade side tiara by Shelly Bond.
Her lovely bridesmaids all wore lace navy dresses from BHS accessorised with freshwater pearl necklaces and earrings from Joma Jewellery, and navy suede shoes from Next. Andy and his groomsmen got their dark grey suits from Peter Posh in Chichester. The couple opted for a religious ceremony in the church local to Sarah’s parents and where both her brother and sister got married. Because they live by the sea they decided to have the reception at The Langstone Hotel.
They decorated the venue with birdcages and bunting in the colour scheme of navy and pink, handmade by Sarah’s mum, while their beautiful wedding stationery was created by Sarah Wants. The lovely array of flowers were created by Bridal Flowers Direct and the amazing cake was by Wedding Kate. Favours were in the form of little laser cut birdcage boxes containing heart-shaped Scottish tablet and handmade wooden hanging birds for the ladies.
Entertainment was a guitarist from Tailored Entertainment for the wedding breakfast and a DJ for the evening. Their first dance was super romantic, they chose Ella Henderson’s Yours.
