The Lesielle S Device

Rubén Rubiales Vazques, the founder of at-home skincare device Lesielle, says: “Supplementing your routine for at-home beauty gadgets is a whole different story. You don’t have to set foot in a Harley Street clinic to get sculpted/toned skin.

“With at-home gadgets [like Lesielle], you have control of which formula is used and the quantity. They also adapt the formula on demand, so you do not have to wait to spend the product to get a new one – providing a fresh blend every time.’’

The Lesielle S skin care device is the first device to let you create your own combination of skin care creams on demand. Lesielle S is a simple and minimalist solution to your skin’s evolving needs.

“With facial yoga, it can have an effect similar to manual lymphatic drainage. It can reduce that build up lymphatic fluid you get over night. For more obvious effects I would recommend Morpheus8,” suggests Carrie Hancox, Aesthetic Practitioner at Centre for Surgery.

Hydrabody

Hydrabody treatment

The cult Hydrafacial treatment, a must for brides, now offers six new Hydrabody treatments for the bum, legs, arms, neck, back and hands, perfect for most brides, whose wedding dresses will often show off parts of the body such as the arms and back.

The Hydrabody is much like the brand’s original and non-invasive three-step cleanse, extract and hydrate process; the skin on the body is treated with a combination of exfoliating active ingredients using a technique known as hydradermabrasion.

Using a patented ‘magic wand’ device, it deeply cleanses and extracts impurities and dead skin cells through painless and gentle ‘vortex technology’ suction. At the same time, the wand saturates the skin surface, pushing intense moisturisers and serums back into the skin, for the most effective treatment.

What’s more, treatments can also be personalised with ‘boosters’ that target different skin concerns such as uneven texture, bumps, breakouts, or pigmentation. Post treatment, the area feels firmer, smoother, and hydrated and looks visibly lifted and rejuvenated. It takes around 30 minutes, so is something that can easily incorporate into a monthly body boost.

Hydrafacial’s Hydrabody protocol is now available nationwide at over 1200+ verified Hydrafacial partners. From £130 depending on clinic and location.

Active Skincare Ingredients

Lesielle Glycolic Acid

“I wouldn’t be surprised if active ingredients take over 2023, as they address various skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, dry or oily skin and eczema-prone skin,” says Rubén.

“Salicylic Acid (BHA) and Glycolic Acid (AHA) are potent chemical exfoliants that works by sloughing away the layer of dead skin cells that sits on the surface of the skin. Moreover, I would recommend Salicylic acid if you have oily, combination or sensitive skin, and Glycolic Acid (AHA) if you have normal to dry skin.

“For altered skin (which is common in winter due to heaters and hot showers), I would recommend applying products with calming agents like Bisabolol and aloe vera; to soothe the skin without clogging pores. Vitamin C is great for waking up the skin and it also has a brightening/antifatigue effect.”

“This game-changing formulation holds a high concentration of five unique growth factors that are identical to the life-giving growth factors found in the human placenta. When applied to the skin, these growth factors help reverse the ageing process and repair existing damage,” says Rubén.

“Potentiating ingredients such as vitamin B9 augment growth factor efficacy. Lastly, neuropeptides help minimise and prevent lines and wrinkles.”

GF5 can help address all key signs of skin ageing and promote regeneration of damaged skin and can be found in some of the UK’s top skin and aesthetic clinics.

At-Home Treatments

foreo bear

Dr. Tara Francis, Cosmetic Dentist and Advanced Facial Aesthetician, says: “It’s no secret that lockdown has created a boom of self-care interest. With clinics closed, patients had to find new ways of satisfying their thirst through at-home beauty devices, that promised to treat their various skin concerns. I am a huge fan of Foreo’s devices.”

FOREO’s BEAR micro-current facial toning device offers an at-home, skin-firming treatment for all skin types and ages, working to minimise the appearance of wrinkles while targeting sagging skin, such as the jawline, cheeks, neck and forehead.

BEAR helps improve facial contour, sagging and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in just two minutes, so you can go into those wedding day close ups with confidence and feeling your very best.

Morpheus8

Before and after Morpheus8 at CLNQ

Dr. Kajal Babamiri, Cosmetic Doctor at CLNQ, says: “Most doctors like myself advise patients to begin building Radio Frequency (RF) into their skincare program as a rule of thumb. The ageing process sees our collagen production slow down which in turn means we begin to see sagging of the skin along with lines and wrinkles.

“Morpheus8 is a hybrid RF and microneedling device that restores contour and definition, perfect for the face in particular the undereye and jawline, the decolletage for that wedding dress neckline and can also be used on the body, its particularly effective on the stomach if you also looking for that honeymoon bikini body.

“Treatments should be 6 weeks apart with a total of 3 in the course. Ideally you’d like to have completing the course a minimum of 4 weeks prior to your wedding day so you are only working on the final non invasive treatments or products closer to the time.”

Morpheus8 starts from around £700

“Whether you are looking for hangover cures, a stress buster or something to help you feel like yourself – I can see Vitamin Therapy becoming a bigger wellness trend in 2023,” says Dr Edris Farahbod MD, General Practitioner at Beverly Hills Aesthetic and Wellness.
