Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past two months, you’ll have definitely heard or seen something about the wedding of the year. That is, the wedding of former Coronation Street actress, Michelle Keegan, and presenter and former TOWIE star, Mark Wright.

The couple joined together in holy matrimony and said their vows to officially become Mr and Mrs Wright, and it seems, it’s not the only thing that the hot new couple are doing right…

Both famed for their painfully good looks, this couple are winning when it comes to the style department too. Undeniably, Miss Keegan was the picture-perfect bride when it came to her big day; amazing dress – check, gorgeous hair – yup, flawless make up – of course! But we can’t miss out Mark’s choice of groomswear, causing the biggest stir amongst the UK public.

Could we have a new style icon in our midst? Watch this space, as according to Young’s Hire, the UK is currently experiencing ‘The Wright Effect’…

Following in the footsteps of celebs like Kanye West, George Clooney and Justin Timberlake – who all waved goodbye to their bachelor days in iconic suits, – trendsetter Mark chose to shun formal tradition and celebrated his nuptials wearing a black tuxedo by Stephen Williams, teamed with a white shirt, black shoes and a black bow tie.

Steering away from the classic, three-piece morning suit, the groom opted for a dapper tuxedo, and boy, are we glad! Channeling their inner Bond, Mark and his groomsmen looked every bit the part, and as wedding season gets into full swing, we couldn’t blame people for wanting to copy.

Chris Burns, trends expert at Young’s, commented: “Since the wedding, we’ve already seen a huge 38% increase in tuxedo enquiries and have received a number of calls asking about Mark’s exact style of suit.

“We anticipate that this is only the start and we’re likely to see a lot more tuxedo style suits dominating the Autumn/Winter 2015 wedding season. For now, the wedding trend is definitely formal dinner jackets over top hats and tailcoats, and it is likely to stay this way for a good while yet.”

It is clear that this iconic style of groomswear is here to stay as a popular choice of wedding suit, and tuxedos are now making their way as THE go-to outfit of choice for celebrities and Young’s Hire‘s very own grooms. Goodbye top hat and tails, hello handsome!
