Delicious Christmas Cocktail Recipes

Mince Pie Martini (serves 4)

Ingredients: 

  • 100ml of gin
  • 100ml of sweet red vermouth
  • 20ml of dark rum
  • 110g of caster suger
  • 50g of mincemeat

(for the garnish)

  • 4tbsp of caster sugar
  • 4tsp of mixed spice

Method: 

  1. Begin by making the mincemeat syrup. Fill a pan with 100ml of water, the caster sugar, and mincemeat, and bring it to boil. Once boiled, leave the mix to cool before straining it through a sieve laced with muslin, then place the syrup to one side.
  2. Mix the garnish caster sugar and mixed spice into a glass and use it to dampen the rims of your martini glasses.
  3. Take your mincemeat mixture and dollop it into your shaker. Add the gin, sweet vermouth, dark rum, ice cubes, and 80ml of your strained mincemeat syrup, and shake the mixture thoroughly.
  4. Once shaken, strain the mixture into your martini glass.

The Winter Cup (serves 1)

  • 25ml sloe gin
  • 125ml Fentiman’s Ginger Beer
  • 125ml apple cider
  • 10ml elderflower liqueur

  • 50ml sloe gin
  • 125ml Fentiman’s Pink Rhubarb Tonic Water
  • Fresh lemon slice

Method:

  1. Measure out the sloe gin and add ice.

Ingredients:

  • 30ml of vanilla vodka
  • 60ml of coconut rum
  • 15ml of cream of coconut
  • A sprinkling of granulated sugar or shredded sweetened coconut for the rim

Method:

  1. Coat the rim of your cocktail glass with sugar or shredded coconut.
  2. Mix the vodka, rum, and cream of coconut in your shaker and shake until the mix becomes frothy.

  • 50ml whisky
  • 25ml lemon juice
  • 10ml cinnamon spiced syrup (available from Amazon and most online food stores)
  • 10ml honey
  • Fentiman’s Ginger Ale 
  • Fresh lemon slice

  • Ice

Method:

  1. Mix the whisky, lemon juice, cinnamon-spiced syrup and honey in a short tumbler-style glass with a teaspoon and add ice.
  2. Fill the rest of the glass with ginger ale.
  3. Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon and the cinnamon stick.

Winter Warmer Cocktail (serves 1)

Ingredients:

  • 20ml of Drambuie

Ingredients:

  • 100g light muscovado sugar
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 150ml water
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 clememtines
  • 150ml Cointreau
  • 750ml bottle light red wine
  • Twist of orange zest and star anise to serve

Method:

  1. Put 100g light muscovado sugar in a pan with 1 star anise, 1 cinnamon stick, 4 cloves and 150ml water. Bring slowly to the boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Simmer for 2 mins, then pour into a large jug and leave to cool. Add 1 lemon and 2 clementines, both thinly sliced, to the jug along with 150ml Cointreau and a 750ml bottle light red wine, such as a Beaujolais. Stir well, then cover and chill for at least 2 hrs or overnight if you can.
  3. Serve chilled or over ice, with a twist of orange zest and a star anise. If you’d like to serve a traditional warm mulled wine, there’s no need to chill – simply warm through without boiling and serve in heatproof glasses.
