Happy couple, Cherry and Adam, tied the knot in a summer wedding ceremony and had a seriously beautiful day!

Adam loves to talk so when this couple first met there were no awkward silences! “We knew each other for a while and met up casually on a few occasions,” Cherry says. “It was lovely to finally really get to know each other, he had so many hilarious stories and we just clicked!” A romantic trip away to Paris was when Adam decided to propose. After reflecting on their amazing years together they found a bench by the river and Adam said to Cherry, ‘So, I spoke to your dad…’ while getting down on one knee. He hadn’t even asked Cherry to marry him when she blurted out an excited ‘YES!’.

Cherry wore a stunning fishtail dress that she found in bridal boutique, Lavender and Jude, which was highly recommended to her. It was the second dress she tried on and she instantly knew as it ticked every box – sweetheart strapless neckline, intricate lacing and, of course, fishtail.

The pretty bride accessorised with ivory peep toe shoes from Rainbow Club because they were so comfortable! She wanted to keep things minimal with her jewellery – her bracelet was also from Lavender and Jude and earrings were pearl and diamond studs, which her sister in law Sarah had bought her. Adam wore a three-piece suit from Ted Baker with accessories to match the bridesmaids from Reiss and tan brogues from Herbie. Cherry’s five bridesmaids and two flowergirls all looked amazing on the big day. The maids wore “perfect” dresses from ASOS giving them a bohemian yet elegant look, and the mini maids wore pretty silk dresses from Selfridges.

Cherry and Adam had a traditional Church of England service, with Adam’s dad reading Song of Solomon from the Old Testament and Graeme Byrne read a passage from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. For reception food they had finger bowls of chorizo, olives and fresh bread followed by a relaxed British BBQ. The main attraction was the dessert of yummy Eton mess in a giant wine glass, dispensed into martini glasses.

Rustic yet elegant with neutral colours were the main themes for this gorgeous wedding! Decorations were made, bought and borrowed – from fairy lights to lanterns and jam jars adorned with hessian and flowers the barn looked spectacular. The Flower Shop at Kersey Mill provided the stunning flowers and their cake was a traditional fruit cake made by Cherry’s Grandma’s friend. Favours were keyrings made by Cherry’s Grandad, personalised M&Ms and homemade sloe gin.
