We are *literally* just getting over the Sofia Richie Grange nuptials, wondering if there would be such a momentous occasion to source inspiration from. Thankfully, Taylor Hill’s western wedding has filled the void, and we’re here to show you our favourite parts of the weekend.

The model married Daniel Fryer, venture capitalist, at Devils Thumb Ranch in Colorado. The celebrations began on Friday evening with a chic barn party, with Taylor Hill wearing a custom crocheted FLORA dress.

According to FLORA, an international bridal house based in Israel, Hill contacted the team via Instagram after discovering the collection. FLORA’s designer Rinat was heading to New York, so met with the bride to be for a fitting just two weeks before the deadline of her wedding day.

“Collaborating with Taylor Hill was an absolute delight, and the wedding photos are a testament to her effortless beauty, perfectly complemented by the design of her FLORA dress.”

Taylor Hill’s Ceremony Dress

For her ceremony dress, Hill opted for an off the shoulder Etro gown, which was the first of its kind, marking the brands debut into bridal wear.

“This is the first wedding dress that Etro has ever made!” Taylor Hill told Vogue. “Marco [de Vincenzo] is an amazing designer and I love where he is taking the brand, creatively.”

The decision to work with Marco de Vincenzo is very apt due to the decade long relationship the model and designer have conjured. “When they sent me the sketches of it, I was like, ‘It’s like you’re in my head,'” she reminisced. “My favorite part of the dress is probably the top and the sleeves. It gives it the element of romance that I was looking for.”

The design featured a tiered skirt and a cinching satin stripe around the waist, comfortably supported by Taylor Hill’s preference of bare feet- a choice made to ground and connect her to the earth.

Are Boho Weddings Back?

The bohemian aesthetic started trending during the 2010’s, with flower crowns and lace dresses at its forefront, with celebrities like Lily Allen and Kate Moss sporting the style in their ceremonies. Like all trends, it was replaced by the next best thing which ironically could not have been more polar; minimalism. But could the boho wedding be making a comeback?

If you consider your spirit or your style to be more care free and earthy, you may resonate with the term ‘boho,’ a buzzword highly influenced by the 60s and 70s that is generally inspired by those who lead a free-spirited, norm-defying life. So it’s no surprise that an increasing number of bride to be’s are ditching the norms and doing their own thing.

Perhaps we’re in the midst of a new era, rejecting the problematic term of ‘boho’ in place of a more relaxed aesthetic– one that encourages fluidity and takes pride on the individual rather than societal trends, a concept that Taylor Hill’s wedding grasped beautifully.
