Plan ahead

If you colour or perm your hair, I’d suggest having it refreshed at least one month before your wedding date. The extra time will soften your style a bit, so it looks more natural. I’d also recommend booking an appointment with your hairdresser for the big day a good few months in advance. The Protect My Colour range from my collection is perfect for colour treated hair, infused with a formula that gently cleanses the hair whilst infusing it with essential oils promotes manageability, colour and shine ready for your big day!

Be prepared

Check the weather prior to your big day. This can help you decide what form of hairstyle you wish to go for. For example if it is going to be windy you’d want to style your hair up. Going for a look that doesn’t allow you to fiddle with your hair is what I always recommend. To tame unwanted wedding flyways, I’d recommend the Andrew Barton Fix Hair Grips, they work wonders at securing your locks to your desired look!

Condition

To prep your hair for the big day, I’d recommend following a conditioning hair care plan. Using a highly nutritious conditioning treatment mask once a week up to three months before will help. Andrew Barton SOS Hair Repair Mark is the perfect hair remedy in the run up to the big day to ensure hair is shiny and frizz free.

Keep it neat

The biggest trend for 2016 is simplicity – it’s that simple! Many brides want to have a unique statement look, if you want to avoid the stress of an unknown hair-do going wrong on the day; a classic sleek look is a safe option. Get a trim a few weeks before your wedding date to eliminate split ends.
