Wedding Ideas received a personal invitation from Ian Stuart to preview his latest 2017 collection, ‘Unforgettably Me’, in the heart of Westminster.

The home of Ian Stuart Bridal is a historic building named Blewcoat. On arrival Annie our online editor and Bethan our junior designer were greeted with champagne, appetizers and the warm friendly faces of the Ian Stuart team.

The atmosphere was bubbling as the crowd entered the building and were welcomed into the stunning interior of the studio. Large mirrored walls and chairs lined the catwalk with a beautiful tree stood tall in the centre and a featured chandelier. Past designs were also on show on mannequins demanding the attention of the guests.

Here are 5 of our favourite dresses that we had to share with you

Angelica
Ian uses a structured shape for this dress using a high neck and deep V open back. The pearl satin material he uses in his sample dress helps the floral beading embellishments take centre stage. The A-line shape filled with a petticoat adds shape and glided down the catwalk! Ian has made this dress available in pale gold as well as ivory and comes with a matching embellished veil.

Glitterbomb
This dress well and truly matches up to it’s name with crystals exploding from the overlapped pleating draping down the front. The off-grey tone of this dress was a firm favourite for Wedding Ideas giving the alternative bride another option for a traditional shaped dress. We love how the satin material gave the dress such a full skirt. Glitterbomb is also available in Ivory.

Valencia
It may be all about the cape in this image with the embellished neckline and draping details down into a long train, but without it the dress stands alone just as beautifully. Here at Wedding Ideas we loved the composition of a stunning strapless gown with lace overlay paired with a high neck cape which adds drama to the traditional style. Valencia can be made in ivory, honey/metallic, pale blue/metallic or honey/ivory.

Forget Me Not
We will definitely not forget you! The underlay of rose pink showing through the tulle covered in beautiful coloured embellished lace with crystals is the perfect combination. The sweetheart neckine with A line skirt is the ideal shape to still keep this looking like a wedding dress. Available in other colours also but the rose pink is a must-have trend this year and we absolutely love how Ian has incorporated this trend.

Fairytale
This dress is most definitely a dream come true! The full skirt paired with layers of ruffled tulle gives it the drama that the right bride would love to wear! Having off-the-shoulder sleeves is also a trend this season and Ian has made them detachable so the bride can have two looks on her wedding day. Gold tones or all in ivory – you can be as brave and bold as you like or keep it traditional.

Ian Stuart once again we take our hats off to you and can’t wait until next year!
