An expert designer and avid shoe-LOVER… we turn to Kari C. for her heel know-how and jewelled Shoe Bijoux accessories to help make finding the perfect bridal shoes a total breeze! Which stunning style will make your silhouette stand out?!

Kari, there are so many shoe styles out there! What would you pair up with these 3 dress looks?

Sweetheart ball gown

As this is quite a traditional look with a longer hemline I would suggest a couple of different shoe styles. A more timeless shoe such as Sherry with Monarch Shoe Clip will compliment a more classic bride. While a bride who is more fashion-focused may opt for a strappy sandal like Lily or Grace.

Short vintage-style dress

This is a non-traditional bride and we’ve seen them make the most interesting choices in the bridal footwear with these brides styles like Dahlia and Orme which are a little more unconventional and edgy with metallic and glitter additions. Jasmin is another great choice with its large organza flower embellishment.

Starburst Shoe Bijoux pair very well with point or almond shaped closed toe shoes and are great for shorter dresses as a pump elongates your legs.

Figure hugging embellished/spaghetti strap dress

As this dress is quite heavy, we’d recommend this bride to choose a simpler style without any embellishments however, make an impact with the design and material choices. Grace and Lily are ideal as they’re gorgeous designs in gold or silver depending on the beading on the dress. Strappy styles like this are also have an elegant silhouette on the foot.

While Calista and Monarch Shoe Bijoux are perfect for open or peep toe sandals – such as Daisy – these are great with sleeker silhouettes or fitted dresses. Shop from Shoe Bijoux’s four fabulous accessory collections. Which style will suit your personality?

The traditional white wedding heel is quite often the answer for many brides…

What styles and colours are making a statement and proving popular for brides of 2017?!

Throughout 2016 we have seen increasing number of brides make unconventional choices in their footwear. We are seeing many brides requesting us to make shoes that accent the colour of their bridesmaids’ dresses. Brides often choose shoes in hues of blue as their “something blue”. Metallic accents, shades of gold, silver and rose gold are another winner for us. I definitely believe we will see these colour trends continue to grow in 2017!

We are firm advocates of our exclusive collection of Shoe Bijoux as you can embellish your shoe when the occasion calls for. You are not stuck with an ornate shoe that doesn’t have much wear in your daily life. With our extensive range of Shoe Bijoux, we have something for every bride in any colour she desires.

The one thing we all want from our heels, especially on our wedding day…comfort!

Can you give any tips or suggestions to brides about choosing footwear where comfort is concerned?!

At Kari C. we specialise in custom bridal footwear that is designed with comfort in mind without compromising design and definitely not breaking the bank either!

We recommend all brides to choose footwear that they would typically wear and are comfortable in. If you’re a bride that is used to wearing high heels then stick with that. On the other hand, to brides that aren’t comfortable in heels, Kari C. offers a range of different heel heights to choose from to ensure that comfort is not compromised on such an important day. A bespoke shoe measuring and fitting service is complimentary to all of our brides to guarantee shoes that fit to perfection!

A bride’s wedding dress and personal taste have the greatest impact on the shoes they choose. During our consultation we ensure that we capture the mood of the wedding and the brides’ personality to create a shoe that is unique to her and choose embellishments, accents and colours accordingly. Most importantly, our aim is to create shoes that they can wear even after their big day!
