You want to make sure you equip your feet with the right shoes to avoid ending up sore and struggling. We want you to be worry-free, happy and comfortable for the most joyous day in your life, ready to dance the night away. Let’s start with flats

If flats make you think of one thing, it’s comfort. They most likely will not leave you with sore and blistered feet at the end of your big day. They are also a more practical and stable option than heels; you can walk, run, and dance in them without the fear of tripping over.

Your wedding location plays an important role in your choice. If you’re getting married on a beach or anywhere outdoors, heels might not be the best option for you. Wedding flats, on the other hand, could do the trick because they won’t sink into sand or grass.

When it comes to flats, you want to choose a pair with good arch support to prevent your feet from hurting. All our flats at Bella Belle are equipped with extra padding to keep your feet supported all day. The impression of flats is that they will make you look frumpy and short, but with Bella Belle’s collection of gorgeous hand-beaded flats, that impression is a mere myth. Bella Belle’s Adora, which comes in ivory and blush, is feminine, glamorous and comfortable!

Head over heels

We all love a classic pair of sexy heels. They lengthen your legs and make you appear taller and slender. They also tone your calf muscles, while helping you maintain good posture. An ill-fitting and uncomfortable pair of heels can ruin your whole day, but a good pair will offer ample support to ensure all-day comfort.

It is important to make sure the arches of your feet are well supported and cushioned, and that your feet have room to breathe. Undue pressure on your toes can cause corns and bunions. A lot of our heels are made with mesh, like this classic lace Anita, which feels softer and more giving on your feet. Our shoes are also lined with supple genuine leather, with extra thick padding for a cushioned fit.

If you are not an avid heel wearer, you should definitely avoid wearing them on your big day. Kitten heels like Amelia and Frances are great alternatives for those who want some height but are not used to wearing heels. We always advise brides to have a pair of sandals or flats to change into, in case their high heels start to feel torturous.

At the end of the day, we believe you should stay true to yourself. If you’re a flats girl at heart, then stick to what speaks to you on your big day. Just because people say you should wear heels, doesn’t mean you have to, and vice versa. Your wedding day is all about you. Make sure you celebrate your day, your way… starting with your shoes!
